For many of us, the word uterus immediately brings to mind images of the female reproductive organs, and more specifically the uterus. The uterus is not just a physical organ. It encompasses the entire energetic space in that area.
The womb space can act as an emotional trash can. This is where we often store energetic imprints of past relationships, lovers, emotional memories, and traumas. These imprints can remain buried in our subconscious, creating energetic blockages in the womb. The womb is also our seat of deep wisdom and our creative powerhouse. It is here that we birth new life and new ideas into the world. The truth is that birth does not just happen on the physical plane in the form of a child. We all experience the birth process on an energetic plane, in the form of a new project, new business, new intention, or perhaps a new way of living. When energetic blockages form here (harachakra), we can feel stuck. When energy does not flow freely, we lack clarity and our power is limited. Our womb acts as a direct portal for the soul to enter the physical realm, whether it is in the form of a baby, or an inspiration for an idea.
Connecting with the womb isn't just an exercise to improve fertility—it's an important transition to better sex, confidence, and love.
As women, we rarely think about the uterus until we experience painful menstruation and gynecological problems, or want to get pregnant. Beyond its physical function, the uterus has much more spiritual resonance than we often realize, as this part acts as an energetic point that stores our feminine energy – a sacred source from which creativity, sensuality and a sense of security come. Unlike a woman’s physical uterus, the spiritual uterus is believed to be an energetic center within all humans.
This energetic point also connects the heart to the mind. When we are fully grounded in our belly, we are able to fulfill our higher needs for connection and love. The womb is connected to the hara chakra, which is believed to be the foundation of sensuality and pleasure.
We emerge from the womb with programming that begins in childhood, continues into puberty and throughout our adult years as women. We grow up bombarded with negative beliefs about what it means to be a woman, everything from how our bodies should look to how we should behave as "good girls."
Many women have this idea that they should perform in the bedroom. They are so much in their heads that they are disconnected from their own pleasure. “The more we learn to surrender and trust ourselves, and step into the feminine by opening ourselves to feeling and openness, we become magnetic. We are able to invite so much more into our lives.
Exercise:
Start by standing upright with your feet firmly planted on the ground. Make an inverted triangle by connecting your thumbs and index fingers together. Place the triangle on your lower abdomen, about three inches from your belly button, with your thumbs in line with your pubic bone. Take a deep breath and breathe into this space. Feel how connected this area feels, or observe if there is any discomfort. Continue breathing into that space. Take a few deep breaths to release and sink further in to see what emerges. There may be a blockage in the entire pelvic area when you first begin to connect with your uterus, this is normal and can be released by continuing to meditate, move, and release the repression of old traumas stored in this area of the body. Use breath and movement to release
- Connect with your Yoni and Womb by visualizing a gentle pink or orange light filling the uterine space with warmth, life energy and pleasure.
- Breathe deeply into this pink/orange light: it is peaceful and vibrates with love. Let this feeling grow and expand into your yoni and uterus. See this energy vibrating gently throughout your uterine area, like a ball of warm joy.
- Breathe deeply as you observe all the sensations and feelings. Observe how alive the Yoni and uterus feel as you give them your full presence. Take deep, long breaths, allowing yourself to feel calm and relaxed as you sink into your sacred space and soak in this healing energy.
- Let your Yoni communicate to you through the sensations and feelings that arise. Observe them without judgment, and accept what comes with gentle acceptance, compassion, and forgiveness. Let her know that you are offering her the safe space she needs and deserves.
- Continue to breathe this gentle light into the uterine space for as long as you wish.
- To complete the exercise, release all the energy you have created through your consciousness into your field, and allow it to rise and expand into your entire body. Let the excess energy leave your body by releasing it through the Yoni. Thank your sacred Yoni for this experience together.
- When you are ready, come back to your whole body. Observe how you feel. Take a few deep breaths before you start doing anything else.
This exercise moves and heals your feminine sexual energy, helping you remove blockages
I recommend this exercise for 15 to 30 minutes a day, but even a few minutes is enough if that's all you can manage. Try to do it regularly for at least 3 weeks. Disciplined practice is what we need to allow all energetic tools to truly benefit us.
