When we step onto the path towards healing the womb, we simultaneously open the door to healing the heart.
In many ancient traditions, the womb is seen as a secondary heart—a feminine heart—a place of wisdom that many of us have lost touch with over time. The emotions we carry in the womb are mirrored in the heart, and vice versa.
When we reconnect with the womb, the heart begins its own healing journey. Uniting these two centers can transform the way we live, love, and create.
A free exercise to explore this connection
Here is a simple exercise you can try today to connect with your heart and womb:
- Find a quiet place and lie down on a yoga mat or blanket. Put on some calming music.
- Place one hand on your uterus and the other on your heart.
- Take five deep breaths, and feel how your body releases your thoughts and becomes more present.
- Ask yourself: What is my body longing for right now? If my heart and uterus could talk, what would they tell me?
- Allow yourself to be in this state for five minutes, noticing the thoughts and feelings that arise.
Afterwards, you can write down the impressions and insights that came up during the exercise.
