In modern times, we are constantly bombarded with stimulation.
Every element of our society is built around constant input. We all stare at screens, scroll through social media, and overwhelm our senses with external stimuli. When it comes to sexuality, we are bombarded with sexualized images in movies and magazines, pornography, and vibrating sex toys. Overtime, this level of intense stimulation reduces our sensitivity. When our sensitivity is reduced, we feel less pleasure during arousal and sex. Fortunately, with this exercise, we can begin to increase our awareness and perception of all the micro-sensations in our bodies, which will lead to us feeling more pleasure and happiness in the bedroom!

Here is an exercise that will stimulate your senses and give you more presence:
- Get comfortable whether standing, sitting or lying down.
- Close your eyes
- Gently start touching your lips with your fingertips
- Start creating a mental image of what your lips look like, focus on this for one full minute
- Repeat this exercise with your breasts and nipples.
- Think about shape, size, form, and texture for a full minute
- Bring your attention to the vulva, touch the area and focus on how it looks for one minute.
- Move the touch back to your lips and imagine touching someone else instead.
- Focus on the feeling in your hands and do your best to ignore the physical sensation on your body.
- Repeat this process with your breasts and vulva for one minute each.
- For one last time, move the touch back to the lips.
- This time, imagine someone else touching you.
- Focus on what your body feels instead of your hands.
- Repeat this process with your breasts and vulva.
- Take a few deep breaths and integrate the experience
Set aside 10 minutes for the exercise every day when you wake up and make this practice a good routine. This exercise is taught in sexology studies and in tantra teachings.
The exercise will take you back into your body, and teach you to become more sensitive.
